A support group for parents of children with Aspergers and Autism in the South Puget Sound region. We want to be able to share our trials and triumphs with others who "get it". We believe in meeting our kids where they are and helping them to navigate our world from theirs.

Discussion Topic for the week of January 9: In terms of behavior management and discipline, what positives and consequences work best with your child?
My son loves playing with his Tag pen, his Leapster, and the Wii. Just the threat of taking any or all of those items away for a day or more is enough to get him to listen and mind. He has never really responded to positive incentives (stars, stickers, etc.) for things, until we started earning stars toward playing Wii this past summer.
