A support group for parents of children with Aspergers and Autism in the South Puget Sound region. We want to be able to share our trials and triumphs with others who "get it". We believe in meeting our kids where they are and helping them to navigate our world from theirs.

What do you do when you get "those looks" from others in public?
I ignore them. When my child is having a "moment" I truly am way focused on trying to redirect his behavior and calming him to really notice anyone else around us. Also nobody has ever had the nerve to say anything to me. Now if they said something negative to us that would be a whole other situation.
